Situated on the banks of the Breede River 10KM out of Worcester on the R43 and only an hours drive from Cape Town you’ll find Klipkrans, located on a Private Game farm.
Situated on the banks of the Breede river, all sites have beautiful green lawns overlooking the water. Each site has their own power and water supply. Camp sites 1 & 2 are our preferred sites as they larger and a bit more secluded from the rest of the camp sites.
Camp site 2 has a lovely sheltering wooden structure giving some protection from the blistering sun during the summer months. Best way to cool down is to be bathing or lazing on tubes in the river. To prevent us from going downstream we attached the tubes to a rope in turn attached to the Landy.
Ablution facilities are good, clean & fresh. They also have an honesty shop which sells wood, ice, water, cool drinks and other essentials you might have forgotten. Money is deposited in a lock box for safety.
Most importantly, include insect repellant as certain times of the year you might experience miggies & mosquitoes.
Klipkrans has wifi across the campsite, so much for wanting a break from technology. Its your choice to connect or enjoy the splendors of the site. Please remember though, cellular signal in areas are bad.
For those not keen on tents, Klipkrans also offer a “glamping” option as they have 3 permanent setup semi-tents equipped with beds, bar fridge, fan, utensils and crockery.
An awesome quick breakaway from City life.
